Titertek 4x400 Syringes

The “4x” refers to the Titertek design of four syringes ganged together per drive.  This marries the accuracy, precision, and anti-backlash virtues of the massive chassis and direct step-motor/lead screw drive used in all Titertek-designed instruments to four independent channels without adding to the hardware cost or complexity.

“400” refers to the capacity of 400 uL per syringe.  The 4x1 (four 1 mL syringes) remains the choice for most microplate filling or transfer applications when volumes are typically tens of microliters, but for single microliter amounts, and for fine increments of 0.1 uL, the 400 is the even better alternative.

Liquid filled, rigid path, chemically resistant syringes are still the way to dispense laboratory reagents and samples.  Nothing else is as tolerant of variations in viscosity, temperature, surface tension and suspensions/particulates.  The 400 primes easily and quickly, has a good linear motion to volume ratio for accuracy, fast fluid ejection to “snap” pendant droplets for precision and sufficient volume to avoid multiple refills per plates.

The new JET One Dispenser (see Products page) features the 4x400 implemented as 0.5 to 400 uL in 0.1 uL increments.  The 4x400 will be added as an option to other applicable Titertek products in the near future.

The 4x400 is available now as an option on existing MAP-C2 (models 52045, 47 and 67)  and MAP D-Type (models 61045, 75 and 85) for both internal syringe drives and auxiliary Digiflexes.  Your machine will need a free software update and the 4x400s will have a range of 1 to 400 uL  in increments of 1 (not 0.1).  Please call or email us with specifics about your system.
