The MAP D-Type Tip Changer incorporates two stackers - one with a 180 plate capacity for assay plates on the left and one with a 60 plate capacity (102 cm height) for tip boxes on the right. Eight disposable tips are secured simultaneously onto the tip cone head by expanded o-rings. After transferring sample/reagent the tips are deposited back into the tip box. The completely used tip box is returned to the output magazine of the right stacker and a new tip box is accessed from the input magazine.
A variety of processes can be combined to complete an entire assay including: Plate to plate transfer; Plate replication (mother/daughter, including multiple daughter plates); Transfer within a plate; Serial dilutions; Reagent addition; Incubation; Plate Washing; Reading.
