Multidrop 384 and
Multidrop Micro are now available with a 60-plate Titan stacker
that supports lid handling when used with the Titertek Multidrop
PC software.
As plate lids typically do not conform to the SBS/ANSI specifications
for microplates, they cannot be handled discretely by the Titan
stacker. The new implementation circumvents that problem in an efficient
manner that requires no expensive separate de-lidder and adds very
little to the cycle time.
In summary, the stacker feeds the first plate to the Multidrop then
returns the processed plate to the input stack to receive its lid
and the next plate. As shown in the photograph, this second plate
is temporarily held by the P3 (the plate transfer gripper) while
the first plate with its lid is delivered to the output stack. The
second plate is now handed to the Multidrop, processed and the cycle
repeats.
De-lidding is also now available for MAP and Quadflex.
